The
Gibberd
Garden is a jewel in Harlow's otherwise sometimes questionable crown.
All of the photographs here were produced in the mid-1990s during the periods
of autumn colour - the majority are from a single visit in 1995.
Occasionally, some people have said they were disappointed when they visited the garden after
seeing these pictures, as their expectations were not always matched by the reality
they experienced. Of course, every garden changes through the seasons,
but perhaps the photographs may have captured something fleeting, not always
readily experienced in person. Anyway, it's a wonderful garden, always worth
a visit.
