A picture from my Zone System days. The challenge here was to render detail in the dark soil and the bright sunset sky by careful exposure and reduced, compensating development. It is a scene of extreme contrast and even with careful film processing the print needed some burning in the sky area. The contrast in the two areas at each end of the curve is retained though.
